Q&A with Buzz


What brought you to 23:20, and what keeps you coming back?

Seeing the fun atmosphere on social media is what brought me in the first time and the community is what keeps me coming back.

Where are you from? If not here, when did you move here?

I am a SEI native.

What do you do outside of the gym? Both for work and play?

I work in the landscape profession and for fun I like to spend time outside. Some of my hobbies consist of hunting and fishing.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Underwater basket weaving.

If you had to do 100 reps of one movement (not running), what would it be?

RowERG.

One year from now, what do you hope to have mastered? What skill or lift do you hope to add to your wheelhouse?

I would like to master ring/bar muscle up.

What would you say to a person who is apprehensive to join a CrossFit gym?

Don't knock it till you try it.

What is one thing that CrossFit has changed about your life that you didn't expect it to?

CrossFit has thought me patience in a way I didn't expect it to. It is easy to get frustrated when you can't do a movement correctly but if you are patient and consistent, eventually you will gain the skill.

What’s your party trick?

I have no tricks. I am lame 😮‍💨

What is one thing about you people would be surprised to know?

I have run a full marathon (26.2) before.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

People don't care what you are selling, they care about how you make them feel.
